Animal Healing Center is pleased to offer telemedicine consultations for select patients and situations. Telemedicine allows our doctors to connect with pet owners remotely through secure audio/video appointments for wellness guidance, holistic support, follow-up care, nutritional counseling, lifestyle recommendations, and certain medical consultations when appropriate.
Telemedicine can be especially helpful for:
Follow-up consultations
Integrative and holistic wellness support
Nutritional and supplement guidance
Quality of life consultations
Behavioral and environmental discussions
Mobility and senior pet support
Review of prior diagnostics or medical records
Herbal and integrative medicine discussions
General wellness recommendations
Clients located far from our hospital
Pets who become highly stressed during travel or clinic visits
As a holistic veterinary practice, we recognize that many aspects of health and wellness can be discussed remotely while still maintaining compassionate, individualized care.
Telemedicine is not appropriate for emergencies or all medical conditions. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, difficulty breathing, severe pain, active bleeding, seizures, collapse, or other urgent symptoms, please seek immediate in-person veterinary care.
Under California law, telemedicine appointments involving veterinary medical care are available only for pets physically located within the state of California at the time of the consultation.
Certain medications, treatments, and medical recommendations may legally require an established Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR), diagnostic testing, or an in-person examination. If we determine that an in-person visit is medically or legally necessary, we will advise you accordingly.
For out-of-state pet owners, we may still be able to provide general educational information, wellness coaching, nutritional guidance, holistic lifestyle support, and integrative care discussions. To be eligible for this type of consultation, you must have an active relationship with a conventional veterinarian where you live who can provide hands-on care, diagnostics, prescriptions, and emergency support when needed. Because veterinary licensing laws vary by state, our veterinarians may not be able to diagnose, prescribe medications, or establish a veterinary relationship for patients located outside California.
Animal Healing Center combines conventional veterinary medicine with integrative and holistic therapies tailored to the individual patient. During telemedicine consultations, our doctors may discuss supportive approaches including:
Nutrition and fresh food guidance
Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM)
Herbal medicine support
Nutraceuticals and supplements
Environmental and lifestyle factors
Senior wellness support
Mobility support strategies
Stress reduction and behavioral wellness
Review of prior treatment plans and diagnostics
Recommendations are always made on an individual basis and may vary depending on your pet’s medical history, current condition, and legal limitations surrounding telemedicine care.
To help us provide the best possible telemedicine experience, we may request:
Previous medical records
Recent laboratory results
Imaging reports
Current medication and supplement lists
Photos or videos of your pet
A stable internet connection with audio/video capability
Telemedicine appointments are conducted through live audio/video communication and are designed to complement—not fully replace—hands-on veterinary care when needed.
